Our History
Over the last 30 years, Weston Christian Academy has faithfully strived to provide the best Christ-centered education from preschool (K3) through middle school (8th grade). We began in 1995 with just 154 students and have grown to serve over 450 students today. From the beginning, our vision has been to establish a covenant Christian school of excellence in Southwest Broward, serving students from preschool through high school, and to partner with families in training the next generation of Christian leaders.”
In 1995, a group of dedicated founders brought this vision to life, laying a strong foundation built on faith and purpose. By 1998, the school expanded to meet growing enrollment by adding the Worship Center (which also serves as a gymnasium), a library, and five new classrooms, enhancing the learning environment for students. In 2010, Weston Christian Academy continued its growth with the addition of a two-story building featuring 11 classrooms designed for middle school and preschool, further expanding opportunities for academic excellence.
Building on this strong foundation, the school continued to refine its vision by integrating a classical emphasis into the curriculum, further elevating WCA’s pursuit of excellence. The curriculum was enriched with programs like band and orchestra, Latin, rhetoric, and logic. These initiatives deepened the academic and spiritual development of our students, equipping them with skills to think critically and communicate effectively.
Throughout our journey, WCA has built a reputation as a premier Christian academy, earning the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence designation in 2019. While striving for excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics, WCA has remained steadfast in its commitment to nurturing a faith-based culture grounded in the truth of God’s Word, a truth that shapes every aspect of school life. Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in the fine arts, WCA continues to exalt the preeminence of Christ in all things.
Today, Weston Christian Academy stands as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the unwavering commitment of our community to prepare wise, courageous, and godly leaders for the next generation. Each chapter in our history has shaped the vibrant, Christ-centered environment we know and love today. Looking ahead, we continue to hold fast to the vision of expanding through the establishment of a high school. We trust that, in God’s perfect timing and by His provision, this dream will become a reality and launch us into a new season of educational ministry.
