Applying to WCA

Family Requirements:

  • At least one parent or guardian must be a Christian who professes faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
  • Parent/guardian and child must regularly attend a Christ-centered Bible-teaching church.
  • A pastor reference form from the church you are currently attending will be required as part of the application process.  
  • At least one parent or guardian must reside in the household. If two reside in the household, they must be a legally married man and woman.
  • Students should have the ability to function academically at grade level or above.
  • Students should have achieved FSA scores of Level 3 or higher in Reading, Math, and Language, or a minimum of the 50th national percentile in each of the following areas: Total Reading, Total Math, Total Language, and Complete Battery, as indicated in their most recent nationally normed standardized achievement test.
  • Students should have the ability to function behaviorally in an appropriate way.
  • Students must meet the minimum age requirement:
    • Students applying for K3 must be three years old by September 1st.
    • Students applying for K4 must be four years old by September 1st.
    • Students applying for K5 must be five years old by September 1st.
  • Students applying for middle school must have a personal belief in and commitment to Christ as well as a desire to attend Weston Christian Academy.
  • Students applying for middle school must agree to abide by all school expectations, standards, and policies as related to conduct.

Admissions Process

We accept online applications and are excited to walk you through the steps to join our WCA family. The information below is a description of the admission steps found in our Student and Family Application.

Step 1– Application, Fee, and Documentation

Application Fee: $125.00 (non‑refundable)

Required Documentation:

  • Official Birth Certificate (upload as a PDF — no photos)
  • Social Security Card (upload as a PDF — no photos)
  • Florida Immunization Record (DH-680) — original required
    Florida Physical Form (DH-3040) — original required
  • Pastoral Reference Form
  • Student Reference Information Form (from the most recent elementary teacher, or all core-subject middle school teachers)
  • Family History/Medical Emergency Form
  • Parent/Guardian Statement of Support
  • Parent Information Form (Kindergarten applicants only)
  • Student Information Form (Grades 6–8 applicants only)
  • Student Agreement of Conduct (Grades 6–8 applicants only)

Step 2 – Student Entrance Assessment and Fee

Each student must complete an Entrance Assessment. The results of the assessment help to evaluate whether the academy will be able to meet the educational needs of the student and whether the student is likely to be academically successful at the academy. These results are reviewed by the Director of Admissions and the School Administrator prior to acceptance.

Step 3 – Interview

The School Administrator interviews both parents/guardians of an applicant, except in cases where a non-custodial parent is not available.

The School Administrator interviews middle school student applicants.

Admission Decision

After the interview, you will be notified of the admission decision in writing. Upon acceptance:

  • Sign and return the Reservation and Enrollment Agreement within five (5) days.
  • Submit the $600.00 (non‑refundable) Enrollment Fee.

Please note: Students are not considered enrolled, nor can they begin attending school, until the agreement and enrollment fee have been received.
