Physical Education

Physical Education (PE) is a vital part of a well-rounded education at Weston Christian Academy. All elementary students receive regular PE instruction to build foundational fitness, promote healthy habits, and develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity. The program includes activities that enhance physical fitness, teach game rules and strategies, and develop teamwork and individual skills across a range of sports. Students are taught that caring for their bodies and demonstrating good sportsmanship are ways to glorify God. In addition to PE classes, elementary students may also participate in after-school sports and fitness activities.

In middle school, one semester of PE is required for all 6th grade students, while 7th and 8th grade students may choose from a choice of physical education electives. These electives are designed to help students develop skills and knowledge in specific sports and recreational activities while promoting overall health and fitness. Instruction includes safety rules, terminology, skill development, officiating, and sportsmanship. Select health-related topics are also introduced, with an emphasis on lifelong wellness. Through these courses, students learn to glorify God by stewarding their bodies and cultivating habits that support a lifetime of physical and spiritual well-being.
