Fine Arts

Through the creativity of Fine Arts, we catch a glimpse of God, our Creator, and His awesome nature. At WCA, we are dedicated to nurturing students’ creative gifts and providing opportunities for them to thrive. From Preschool through Middle School, our comprehensive Fine Arts program includes music, band, orchestra, visual arts, and media.

WCA’s well-rounded fine arts program is one of the few elementary schools nationwide to have a band and orchestra. This outstanding program sets the foundation for our students to continue in middle school band and orchestra. Our drama program is highlighted by two shows, our Elementary Christmas Program and the Middle School Spring Musical. Middle school students also have the opportunity to explore theater more deeply through a dedicated Drama/Theater elective, where they learn performance techniques and the history of drama.

Students experience rich visual art instruction and opportunities for creative expression throughout their preschool, elementary, and middle school experiences. As they explore elements such as color, texture, shape, form, pattern, and symmetry, students also study the classical works of the masters, discovering what makes these timeless masterpieces enduring.

Additionally, middle school students can participate in our Tech Team, supporting multimedia productions and school events. Through a hands-on experience in sound and lighting console operation and visual presentation software, students gain valuable skills in media production and teamwork.

At WCA, the Fine Arts are not just extracurricular; they are essential avenues through which students can reflect the creativity and order of our God.
