Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Set to Soar vision?
Set to Soar is Weston Christian Academy’s long term vision to one day establish a unified K3-12 campus that will strengthen the school’s ability to partner with families and churches in developing Christ centered leaders who are fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Does the Set to Soar vision continue?
Yes. While WCA recently stepped away from a specific property opportunity after an extensive due diligence process, the overall vision for the future of Weston Christian Academy remains unchanged. School leadership continues to prayerfully pursue future opportunities that align with the mission, values, and long term goals of WCA.
Why did WCA decide not to move forward with the recent property opportunity?
During the due diligence process, several legal complexities concerning the property came to light that created significant uncertainty regarding future development and improvements. After much prayer, counsel, and careful consideration, the WCA School Board determined that moving forward at this time would not represent the wisest and most responsible path for the school.
In addition to providing space for WCA’s long-term vision, the current building on the property would enable Weston Christian Academy to begin a high school program planned for the fall of 2027, while future campus planning and development continue.
Why is WCA pursuing a future campus expansion?
Over the years, enrollment demand has continued to grow, and many families have expressed a strong desire for Weston Christian Academy to eventually provide a complete K3-12 educational experience rooted in biblical truth and academic excellence.
A future campus would allow WCA to expand its ability to serve students and families while preserving the Christ centered academic environment that defines the school’s mission and culture.
What would a future campus potentially include?
A future campus may include:
- Academic facilities for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students
- Science, technology, and classical learning spaces
- Athletic fields and gymnasium facilities
- Fine arts and performing arts programs
- Gathering spaces for chapel, student life, and community events
How will gifts given toward Set to Soar be used?
Gifts given toward the Set to Soar vision will continue to remain designated for future campus expansion and high school development opportunities. These funds will help position Weston Christian Academy to move forward wisely and faithfully when the right opportunity becomes available.
Where will campaign funds be held?
Funds designated toward Set to Soar will remain in a separate restricted account designated specifically for future campus expansion and development opportunities related to the vision of the campaign.
Can donors request a refund of their gift?
Yes. WCA is committed to caring for families thoughtfully and transparently. Donors who would like to discuss refunding a Set to Soar gift made between March 16 and May 22 may contact the Advancement Office directly by June 30, 2026.
How can families support the Set to Soar vision?
The most important first step is prayer. We invite our community to continue praying for wisdom, unity, provision, and clear direction as Weston Christian Academy seeks the Lord’s leading for the future.
Families and supporters may also partner through financial giving toward the Set to Soar vision as WCA continues preparing faithfully for future opportunities.
