Vision Update

After careful prayer and due diligence, WCA leadership made the decision not to move forward with the recent property opportunity. While this particular opportunity was not the right fit, the Set to Soar vision continues as we prayerfully prepare for the future God has ahead.

SET TO SOAR

A Vision for the Future of Weston Christian Academy

Preparing the next generation of Christ-centered leaders through a unified K3–12th grade campus.

For three decades, Weston Christian Academy has faithfully served families in Southwest Broward by partnering with the home and church to foster excellence in each student while developing spiritual leaders who are fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

As the school has grown, so has the vision for what God may continue to do through WCA. Set to Soar represents a long term vision to establish a unified campus that will allow Weston Christian Academy to expand its ability to serve students and families through Christ centered education, including the future addition of a high school.

While a recent property opportunity was prayerfully explored, school leadership ultimately determined it was not the right path forward at this time. Even so, the vision remains unchanged.

As we continue pursuing future opportunities, WCA remains committed to preparing wisely, stewarding resources faithfully, and seeking the Lord’s guidance every step of the way.

Through continued prayer, generosity, and partnership, we believe God is laying the foundation for what He has ahead for future generations of WCA students.

The Roadmap: The vision behind Set to Soar and how it will shape the future of Weston Christian Academy.

The Set to Soar roadmap represents years of thoughtful planning and prayerful consideration about the future of WCA. As enrollment demand continues to grow, many families have expressed a strong desire for Weston Christian Academy to eventually offer a full K3–12 educational experience within one unified campus community.

A future campus of this scale would allow Weston Christian Academy to expand its ability to serve students and families while strengthening the Christ-centered education that defines our mission.

The Griffin Road property provides the space necessary to pursue that vision and will allow for the development of:

  • Academic facilities for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students

  • Science, technology, and classical learning spaces

  • Athletic fields and gymnasium facilities

  • Fine arts and performing arts programs

  • Gathering spaces for chapel, community events, and student life

A campus designed for this purpose would position Weston Christian Academy to faithfully serve future generations of students for decades to come.

Phase One – Preparing the Foundation

Overview

This phase of the Set to Soar vision represents an important season of prayerful preparation as Weston Christian Academy continues building toward future campus expansion and the eventual addition of a high school.

Focus

This phase of the campaign is centered on these key priorities:

  • Continuing to build financial readiness for future campus opportunities
  • Expanding long term planning for a future K3-12 campus
  • Preparing for the future addition of a high school
  • Strengthening the foundation for future growth and development

Impact

Through the faithful support of families, alumni, and friends of WCA, this phase is helping prepare the school to move forward wisely and faithfully when the right opportunity arises. Every gift and every prayer continues helping to lay the groundwork for the future of Christ centered education at WCA.

A Legacy for the Next Generation

The story of Weston Christian Academy has always been one of faithful partnership. From the founding of the school in 1995, to the campus expansions in 1998 and 2010, to the strengthening of the classical academic program in recent years, each chapter has been shaped by families and supporters who believed in the mission and stepped forward in faith.

Preparing for a future permanent campus is not simply about land or buildings. It is about investing in a place where students will grow academically, spiritually, and relationally while being equipped to impact the world for Christ.

We invite our community to continue praying with us during this important season and to consider how God may be leading them to partner in this vision.

Together, we trust that the Lord will guide each step as Weston Christian Academy continues pursuing excellence in Christ centered education and preparing students to soar for His glory.

Your generosity shapes lives.

How to Partner

Preparing the Way for the Future of Weston Christian Academy

The vision of Set to Soar will continue to move forward through the faithful partnership of families, alumni, and supporters who believe in the mission of Weston Christian Academy and the future of Christ centered education.

Every gift plays a meaningful role in helping WCA prepare wisely and faithfully for future campus opportunities, including the long term vision of a unified K3-12 campus and future high school.

We recognize that transformational moments in a school’s history are often made possible through the prayers, generosity, and leadership of those who choose to invest early and intentionally in the vision.

For this reason, Weston Christian Academy continues to establish the Keystone Families, a group of families and supporters whose generosity is helping lay the financial foundation for future expansion opportunities as the Lord leads.

Within this group, families and supporters who make leadership commitments of $250,000 or more will continue to be recognized as members of the Legacy Circle, honoring those whose extraordinary generosity is helping shape the long term future of Weston Christian Academy.

These gifts represent more than an investment in future facilities. They are an investment in the lives of students who will be shaped through Christ centered education for generations to come.

We invite our community to continue praying alongside us and to consider how God may be leading them to partner in the Set to Soar vision as Weston Christian Academy prepares faithfully for what lies ahead.

Families and supporters who would like to learn more or explore giving opportunities are invited to contact Advancement@MyWCA.org. A member of our leadership team will be in touch within 24 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Set to Soar vision?

Set to Soar is Weston Christian Academy’s long term vision to one day establish a unified K3-12 campus that will strengthen the school’s ability to partner with families and churches in developing Christ centered leaders who are fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Does the Set to Soar vision continue?

Yes. While WCA recently stepped away from a specific property opportunity after an extensive due diligence process, the overall vision for the future of Weston Christian Academy remains unchanged. School leadership continues to prayerfully pursue future opportunities that align with the mission, values, and long term goals of WCA.

Why did WCA decide not to move forward with the recent property opportunity?

During the due diligence process, several legal complexities concerning the property came to light that created significant uncertainty regarding future development and improvements. After much prayer, counsel, and careful consideration, the WCA School Board determined that moving forward at this time would not represent the wisest and most responsible path for the school.

In addition to providing space for WCA’s long-term vision, the current building on the property would enable Weston Christian Academy to begin a high school program planned for the fall of 2027, while future campus planning and development continue.

Why is WCA pursuing a future campus expansion?

Over the years, enrollment demand has continued to grow, and many families have expressed a strong desire for Weston Christian Academy to eventually provide a complete K3-12 educational experience rooted in biblical truth and academic excellence.

A future campus would allow WCA to expand its ability to serve students and families while preserving the Christ centered academic environment that defines the school’s mission and culture.

What would a future campus potentially include?

A future campus may include:

  • Academic facilities for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Science, technology, and classical learning spaces
  • Athletic fields and gymnasium facilities
  • Fine arts and performing arts programs
  • Gathering spaces for chapel, student life, and community events

How will gifts given toward Set to Soar be used?

Gifts given toward the Set to Soar vision will continue to remain designated for future campus expansion and high school development opportunities. These funds will help position Weston Christian Academy to move forward wisely and faithfully when the right opportunity becomes available.

Where will campaign funds be held?

Funds designated toward Set to Soar will remain in a separate restricted account designated specifically for future campus expansion and development opportunities related to the vision of the campaign.

Can donors request a refund of their gift?

Yes. WCA is committed to caring for families thoughtfully and transparently. Donors who would like to discuss refunding a Set to Soar gift made between March 16 and May 22 may contact the Advancement Office directly by June 30, 2026.

How can families support the Set to Soar vision?

The most important first step is prayer. We invite our community to continue praying for wisdom, unity, provision, and clear direction as Weston Christian Academy seeks the Lord’s leading for the future.

Families and supporters may also partner through financial giving toward the Set to Soar vision as WCA continues preparing faithfully for future opportunities.
