SET TO SOAR

A Vision for the Future of Weston Christian Academy

Preparing the next generation of Christ-centered leaders through a unified K3–12th grade campus.

For three decades, Weston Christian Academy has faithfully served families in Southwest Broward by partnering with the home and church to foster excellence in each student while developing spiritual leaders who are fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

As the school has grown, so has the vision for what God may continue to do through WCA.

After years of prayer, planning, and thoughtful preparation, the school has reached a pivotal moment in the journey we are calling Set to Soar, a long-term vision to secure a permanent campus that can serve students from K3 through 12th grade and position Weston Christian Academy to flourish for generations to come.

A 47-acre property on Griffin Road in Southwest Ranches has recently become available that aligns closely with the campus expansion criteria outlined in this vision. The location, size, and potential of this property present a rare opportunity to establish a unified campus capable of serving the growing needs of our school community.

After prayerful and careful consideration, the Weston Christian Academy School Board has authorized the school to move forward with a purchase contract for the property. This step places WCA in an exciting position to secure land that will support the continued growth and mission of our school.

The agreement includes a 45-day due diligence period, effective March 10, in which the necessary financial commitments will be finalized to secure the property.

During this time, school leadership and advisors will actively evaluate key factors such as development feasibility, municipal approvals, long-term financial sustainability, and alignment with WCA’s mission. We are encouraged by the opportunities this property presents and are prayerfully moving forward as we seek the Lord’s provision for this next chapter in Weston Christian Academy’s future.

While important work remains, the board believes this opportunity deserves serious and prayerful pursuit.

The Roadmap: The vision behind Set to Soar and how it will shape the future of Weston Christian Academy.

The Set to Soar roadmap represents years of thoughtful planning and prayerful consideration about the future of WCA. As enrollment demand continues to grow, many families have expressed a strong desire for Weston Christian Academy to eventually offer a full K3–12 educational experience within one unified campus community.

A future campus of this scale would allow Weston Christian Academy to expand its ability to serve students and families while strengthening the Christ-centered education that defines our mission.

The Griffin Road property provides the space necessary to pursue that vision and will allow for the development of:

  • Academic facilities for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students

  • Science, technology, and classical learning spaces

  • Athletic fields and gymnasium facilities

  • Fine arts and performing arts programs

  • Gathering spaces for chapel, community events, and student life

A campus designed for this purpose would position Weston Christian Academy to faithfully serve future generations of students for decades to come.

Phase One – Lift Off: Laying the Foundation for Growth

Overview

“Lift Off” marks the first step in the Set to Soar vision as Weston Christian Academy begins the journey toward securing a new campus and preparing for the future expansion of the school, including the eventual addition of a high school.

Focus

This phase of the campaign is centered on these key priorities:

  • Securing the Griffin Road property

  • Launching 9th Grade

  • Planning the campus architecture and design

  • Preparing the land for future construction

Impact

Through the generous support of families, alumni, and friends of WCA, this phase will lay the groundwork for the next chapter of the school’s story. Acquiring the property and beginning the planning process will create a clear path toward expanding the educational opportunities available to our students while strengthening the mission of Weston Christian Academy.

A Legacy for the Next Generation

The story of Weston Christian Academy has always been one of faithful partnership. From the founding of the school in 1995, to the campus expansions in 1998 and 2010, to the strengthening of the classical academic program in recent years, each chapter has been shaped by families and supporters who believed in the mission and stepped forward in faith.

Today, that same opportunity stands before us.

Securing a permanent campus is not simply about purchasing land. It is about investing in a place where students will grow academically, spiritually, and relationally, preparing them to impact the world for Christ.

We invite our community to pray with us during this important season and to consider how God may be leading them to partner in this vision.

Together, we trust that the Lord will guide each step as Weston Christian Academy continues pursuing excellence in Christ-centered education and preparing students to soar for His glory.

Your generosity shapes lives.

How to Partner

Leading the Way for the Future of Weston Christian Academy

The vision of Set to Soar will be made possible through the faithful partnership of families and supporters who believe in the mission of Weston Christian Academy.

Every gift plays a meaningful role in helping the school continue to provide Christ-centered education for the next generation.

We also recognize that transformational moments in a school’s history are often made possible through the leadership of those who feel called to invest early and significantly in the mission.

For this reason, Weston Christian Academy is establishing the Keystone Families, a group of families and supporters whose generosity during this initial phase will help secure the property and lay the foundation for the future of the school.

In biology, a keystone species plays a critical role in sustaining the health and stability of an entire ecosystem. In much the same way, the leadership and generosity of Keystone Families will provide essential momentum during the earliest stage of the Set to Soar vision as the school works to secure the property for its future campus.

Within this group, families and supporters who make leadership commitments of $250,000 or more will be recognized as members of the Legacy Circle, honoring those whose extraordinary generosity helps shape the long-term future of Weston Christian Academy.

These early gifts represent more than an investment in land or facilities; they are an investment in the lives of the young men and women who will be shaped through Christ-centered education for generations to come.

Families and supporters who feel called to explore giving opportunities are invited to connect with school leadership to begin a conversation about their potential partnership in this next chapter of Weston Christian Academy. Please contact Advancement@MyWCA.org and someone from our leadership team will be in touch with you within 24 hours.

The future campus would allow expanded academic, athletic, and arts opportunities.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Set to Soar vision?

Set to Soar is Weston Christian Academy’s long-term vision roadmap to secure a unified campus that can serve students from K3 through 12th grade, strengthening the school’s ability to partner with families and churches in developing Christ-centered leaders.

Why is WCA pursuing a new campus?

Over the past several years, enrollment demand has continued to grow, and many families have expressed a strong desire for their children to continue their education at WCA through high school.

At the same time, currently there is no Christian covenant school in Southwest Broward offering a full K3–12 educational experience rooted in biblical truth and academic excellence. Weston Christian Academy has a unique opportunity to meet that need.

A larger campus would allow the school to expand its programs while preserving the Christ-centered academic environment that defines the WCA experience and provide families in Southwest Broward with a place where students can grow in faith, knowledge, and character from early childhood through graduation.

What opportunity is currently being explored?

A 47-acre property on Griffin Road in Southwest Ranches has recently become available that closely aligns with the criteria outlined in the Set to Soar roadmap.

The Weston Christian Academy School Board has authorized the school to enter into a purchase contract for the property, subject to a 45-day due diligence period, effective March 10, and the successful completion of the financial commitments necessary to secure the land.

How would this property support WCA’s plans for a high school?

In addition to providing space for WCA’s long-term vision, the current building on the property would enable Weston Christian Academy to begin a high school program planned for the fall of 2027, while future campus planning and development continue.

What happens during the due diligence period?

During this time, the school and its advisors will carefully evaluate several key factors, including:

  • Development feasibility

  • Municipal approvals and zoning considerations

  • Environmental and site assessments

  • Financial sustainability

  • Alignment with the school’s long-term mission

This process ensures that any decision made is thoughtful, responsible, and in the best interest of the Weston Christian Academy community.

Does purchasing the property mean construction will begin immediately?

Not necessarily. Securing the property would represent the first step in a multi-phase process.

After land acquisition, the school would move into planning and design phases before construction begins. The timing of each step will depend on the progress of fundraising and the careful planning required for a project of this scale.

What happens if the property ultimately proves not to be viable?

The due diligence process is designed to ensure that Weston Christian Academy makes wise decisions. If the property does not meet the necessary criteria or if the required commitments cannot be secured, the school will prayerfully evaluate next steps and continue pursuing the long-term vision outlined in the Set to Soar roadmap.

How can families support the Set to Soar vision?

The most important first step is prayer. We invite our community to pray that God would provide wisdom, clarity, and provision as Weston Christian Academy evaluates this opportunity.

We invite families and supporters to prayerfully consider how they might partner in the Set to Soar vision. If you would like to learn more or explore giving opportunities, please contact Advancement@MyWCA.org and someone from our leadership team will be in touch with you within 24 hours.
